Just having a quick glance at how Head On a Plate is doing at the all-massive, biggest movie-sites-of-them-all, the IMDb - and hey, Near Day II is back at some 5.6 rating (having been stuck at a 2.something score for the last few years) and Clever Boy Abercombie Ness has also passed the 5.0 medium score (dunno how they rate the movies: check out the stats if you wanna puzzle yerself).

Anyways, it’s still waiting for Underday to hit the database (data filed one month ago and counting), but for now, if you’re a regular over there and think the HOaP-flicks are any good, please vote. Vote wisely (yep, that’s too much Indiana Jones in one evening for ya).

All planned screenings of Underday are officially behind us now, so it’s about time to take Underday online.  Expect to see the movie soon on headonaplate.com, youtube, and various movie-websites - we’ll keep you up to date on the when and where.  And short-film-festivals: here we come!

Roundabout 35 people came to the avant-premiere of HOaP’s newest Underday and we’re glad to say that’s quite a succes! Cheers to everybody who travelled all the way to Kortrijk to watch a movie which was later on best described as “what a weird movie“. Comments ranged from speechless and big-frowned eyebrows to “best thing HOaP made so far“.



For the majority that didn’t get the catch and are still wondering what the wandering was all about: two new opportunities to see Underday. Lichtervelde, Friday 2nd May or Sunday 11th May, both times at 1900 hrs (see previous posts).

Head On a Plate members Simon and Maarten were interviewed by newspaper ‘t Nieuwsblad concerning Head On a Plate in general and Underday specifically. Check out the interview (in Dutch) following this link.

It’s T-minus 5 days and counting until the underday avant-premiere, and we have to say things are looking good. Both the movie and the sound-effects are edited and now it’s all about getting the music right. Local newspapers have called for interviews (ah, where’s the time we had to call them?) before the movie’s even finished, and about a hundred invitations have been sent for the first screening, so we’re better be making this thing worth it. Haven’t got an invite and feel like you and your partner/friends/family should? Mail the_head!! T-minus, my pets!

Underday will see it’s avant-premiere on saturday, april 26th, at Kinepolis Kortrijk. Wanna ticket? Ask the_head asap. The actual premiere will then be in Lichtervelde, on may 2nd, at ast capelle, weststraat 55. Underday will be shown alongside other short movies about Lichtervelde City. You’ll get another chance to catch Underday on Sunday, may 11th, at local Youth-house Het Andere Geslacht. Again, that’s in Lichtervelde. From 7pm, it’s all about the Head On a Plate short movie extravaganza there. Catch ya on any of these days!
